Project Description

Scope of Work Summary:
The intent of the project is to refurbish all existing washrooms. This includes reconfiguration of the existing washroom layouts within the existing footprint to incorporate new private washrooms. Each new private washroom will include a shower, sink, toilet, and floor drain.
In addition, plumbing and electrical serving this units will be replaced. New bedrooms at the East and West ends of the buildings will be provided within existing washroom footprint. Wall sections shall be removed to incorporate windows for the bedrooms. A brief outline of the scope work for this project is provided below. This outline is meant to provide introductory information to make the proponents familiar with the project, however it is not exhaustive. As per drawings and specifications:

•Demolition of existing spaces as required to facilitate work and accommodate the new washroom layout.
•Abatement of materials identified in the Designated Substances Report.
•Disposal of material and fixtures.
•Construct new washroom layout, complete with described fixtures and finishes.
•Installation of curtain wall for new bedroom windows.
•Remove and reinstate walls, ceiling, floors as required to facilitate work.
•Replacement of washroom risers and stacks, relining of laterals located in the basement level.
•Reconfiguration of exhaust air system to suit new layout.
•Roof repair for plumbing and HVAC reconfigurations.
•Firestopping any new/existing floor penetrations to maintain fire barriers.
•Relocation of doors and provision of openers as required.
•Provision of new emergency devices, power outlets, and communications.
•New lighting.
•Commissioning of new systems.
