Project Description

Scope of Work:

This project primarily involves ceiling and mechanical work at the Severn Avenue Public School. In addition there will be new roof / structural work, and finishes across the outlined project area.

The following subtrades are prequalified: Electrical / Fire Alarm, Abatement, Data Cabling, HVAC, Roofing.

Please note: All work within Childcare Rooms 105 and 106 to take place during the weekend or after 6pm weekdays.

 

Location:

Severn Avenue Public School: 2553 Severn Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, K2B 7V8

 

Scheduled Dates:

All work must be completed over four (4) phases occurring July/August 2026 (Phase 2A), September-December 2026 (Phase 2B), January-June 2027 (Phase 2C) and July/August 2027 (Phase 3).

Phase 2A: June 29th, 2026 to August 21st, 2026: All areas of work undertaken in Phase 2A to achieve occupancy prior to regular classes resuming in September 2026.

Phase 2B: September 1st, 2026 to December 11th, 2026: Work to commence in September 2026 and progress through the first 3 months of the 2026/27 school year. Area of work to be separated from the remainder of the school by full-height hoarding. All work to be coordinated with the daily schedule of school operations and permit occupancy of all remaining spaces in school. Area of work to achieve occupancy prior to start of Christmas Break.

Phase 2C: January 4th, 2027 to June 25th, 2027: Work to commence in September 2026 and progress through the balance of the 2026/27 school year. Area of work to be separated from the remainder of the school by full-height hoarding. All work to be coordinated with the daily schedule of school operations and permit occupancy of all remaining spaces in school.

Phase 3: June 28th, 2027 to August 25th, 2027: All areas of work to be complete for occupancy by August 25th, 2027.
