Project Description

Scope of Work / Location:

The intent of this project is to upgrade building access areas which the AODA Consultant has identified as being deficient with respect to AODA Legislation and Standards.  The project bundle incudes five (5) separate buildings listed below:

William E. Hay Centre, 3000 Hawthorne Rd, Ottawa
• Provide line painting for accessible parking spots and pedestrian aisles as noted in attached drawings.
• Provide and install new post mounted signage for accessible parking spots.

• Provide line painting for accessible parking spots and pedestrian aisles as noted in attached drawings.
• Provide and install new post mounted signage for accessible parking spots.
• Provide and install tactile indicators at pedestrian paths as indicated in the attached drawings.
• Provide and install distraction pattern on fully glazed surfaces at entrance vestibule.

MNR District Facility, 31 Riverside Dr, Pembroke
• Provide line painting for accessible parking spots and pedestrian aisles as noted in attached drawings.
• Provide and install new post mounted signage for accessible parking spots.
• Provide and install tactile indicators at pedestrian paths as indicated in the attached drawings.
• Provide and install new precast concrete parking curbs.

Lanark North Land Registry Office, 2 Industrial Dr, Almonte
• Provide line painting for accessible parking spots and pedestrian aisles as noted in attached drawings.
• Provide and install new post mounted signage for accessible parking spots.
• Provide new curb ramp cuts.
• Provide and install tactile indicators at pedestrian paths as indicated in the attached drawings.
• Replace existing auto door operator.

Driver Exam Centre, 1570 Walkley Rd, Ottawa
• Provide line painting for accessible parking spots and pedestrian aisles as noted in attached drawings.
• Provide new sidewalk as noted in attached drawings.
• Provide new curb ramp cuts.
• Provide and install tactile indicators at pedestrian paths as indicated in the attached drawings.
• Provide and install new auto door operator / paint touchups where required.
• Provide and install distraction pattern on fully glazed surfaces at entrance vestibule.

 

Scheduled Dates:

Tender Closing: May 7, 2024

Substantial Performance: August 30, 2024

Ready for Takeover: On or before August 30, 2024

Total Performance: On or before September 30, 2024
